The Beauty and The Beast

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Dates:                June 13-July 25

Days:                  Tuesdays

Times:                5:30-6:15 p.m. (Note:  If we have an abundance of interested actors we will have a                                             second group from 6:30-7:15 p.m.)

Age Group:        Grades K-2

Description:      Learn beginning acting, singing, dancing and performance skills in this class. Participants  will perform THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST on July 29 preceding the EVERYTHING’S GROOVY performance by those in 3-9. Class includes a  script, CD with music and use of costume for the show. There is a required costume fitting.  If you can’t make the scheduled day for costumes you may schedule a different time.  Dress rehearsal will be on July 27 at 5:30 p.m.

THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (OLPH Drama Club)

Enjoy being in a musical based on the French Folk Tale by M. M. E. LePrince DeBeaumont where a Prince is turned into a Beast and a young girl helps him change back into a Prince.

Location-OLPH, 2255 Central Grove, Toledo (off Anthony Wayne Trail)

Ages-Grades 3-8

Practice Dates-Thursdays September 21-November 9

Rehearsal Times-3:00-4:30 p.m.

Show Date:  Saturday, November 18

Performances-one performance at 12:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian in Maumee

Dress Rehearsal-Thursday, November 16, 3:30-4:30 p.m. REQUIRED

Description-Enjoy acting as a character in the musical, The Beauty and The Beast, improve your acting, singing and dancing skills as you prepare for the performance.

Participation Fees-$85.00 each

Other expenses-Tickets $5.00 in advance, $6.00 at the door

Included-a copy of the script, an electronic copy of the music (CD’s available upon request) and use of costume.

AUDITIONS-Thursday, September 14 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in Meeting Room #2.   For the audition be prepared to sing a song from your sheet music or sing Happy Birthday, learn a simple dance and read from a script.  You may drop the registration form off at the school office or bring the first day.
